Band Bios

Jon Pettingill (guitars, lead vocals)

Jonathan Pettingill has been playing guitar since the age of 12 and continues to grow as a shredder and a musician to this very day. Growing up to the sounds of Van Halen, Joe Satriani and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton, Jon's talent is a blend of virtuosic and blues-slinger.

Currently listening to: "Lateralus" - Tool, "In Through the Outdoor" - Led Zeppelin, "The Lillywhite Sessions" - Dave Matthews Band, "Kind of Blue" - Miles Davis

Matt Shannon (drums, vocals)

Matt Shannon has put together quite an impressive drumming resume over the past few years, gigging with Keith's House, Jon and the Pettingills, The ELEM N.O.P. Posse and Barrel House. While his style is reminisent of Cream's Ginger Baker, Shannon still gets his kicks with reggae beats and swing times.

Currently listening to: "BBC Sessions" - Cream, "Idlewild South" - The Allman Brothers Band, "Live at Georgia Theater" - Derek Trucks Band

Adam Van Volkenburg (bass, vocals)

Van Volkenburg was picked up by Pettingill and Shannon to play bass for Barrel House in the summer of 2003. He has been developing the chops of a blues player since his early days of playing, and his style is Tommy Shannon meets John Paul Jones.

Currently listening to: "Boston" - Boston, "Deja Vu" - Crosby, Stills and Nash, "Mr. Fantasy" - Traffic
